“Do you know," Peter asked, "why swallows build in the eaves of houses? It is to listen to the stories.” ~ J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

november, day one.

first november morning and all is quiet.
the front door is open to sunshine and distant birdsong,
yesterday's humidity and gray skies gone.

november blooms with blue skies and sleepy cat.

  1. loving your november, love love loving that image! here's hoping we both have a blue sky november. xo

  2. your november is so different from mine, but both are beautiful in their own ways :-)

  3. love the picture, emmatree !
this year, with a month of surgery, i had no pumpkins. little signs of fall. so i will simply love yours!
    in fondest...tilda

  4. This truly is a Cinderella pumpkin - so unassuming, but so voluptuous as well. I can totally see a fairy godmother choosing this one to make into a carriage for a temporary princess. I love this photo so much - I've been thinking of it all weekend.

come. sit under the emma tree & let's talk. i have cookies . . .
