“Do you know," Peter asked, "why swallows build in the eaves of houses? It is to listen to the stories.” ~ J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

12.31.2010

this is usually the day i think about where i stood all year.

this year, i think i won't.
i've done so much of that already this month.
this year, i think i will just be easy with this new year coming in.
yep.
feet up, kicked back,
i will leave the door open.

the wind is up outside,
a swirling dervish of leaves circled by my door a few moments ago,
and those leaves seemed happy.
a sign.  an omen.
i will take it.

  11. "be easy with the year coming in" - yes, that's a lovely way to look at it. keep that door open and let whatever comes your way choose to come in. i love the adventure of that :) happy happy new year to you and yours.

  12. soften....a word that has much to offer. a word that seems to allow everything and anything to emerge safely, freely. moving clouds, white sheets, feathers and skin. What wonderful words go with your choice! i wish you the very best year of softening and may your word take you to new places in your heart and your life.
    love to you dear friend
