“Do you know," Peter asked, "why swallows build in the eaves of houses? It is to listen to the stories.” ~ J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

uh oh

i am thinking about changing some things on my blog.
sit tight.
ignore all weirdnesses as i play.
i may regret it,
i may chicken out.
but just in case,
hang on.
it's liable to be a bumpy ride.

  8. I went through the same thing a couple of months ago, emailing blogging friends to ask what works and what doesn't work for me. I changed formats, type font, created a new banner, and decided to confine the main blog to its original purpose and to create another blog for "meme play." I like participating in things like Ruby Tuesday and Mosaic Monday, but I think it distracted from the focus. So have fun --- I'll be watching.

  10. Thank you all! Happy 4th! The changes (if I actually get it all figured out - still working on my test blog right now) won't be huge. No giant color changes, no new banner. :) I think.

  11. Good luck with the changes. Change is always a good thing, but can be very scary. You will be happy in the end.

  13. Word of warning - you may get addicted to changing your look! I made a BIG change in January and then proceeded to change things up on sometimes a weekly basis (Design A.D.D.). Have fun!

  14. Good luck making the changes--I know how confusing it can be, and how little things can really be the most difficult to work out. I'm sure you'll come up with a really nice result.

  17. I remember that chair! And, yes, I'd still like to get together sometime... as soon as I get myself out of the fetal postition from my daughter and grandson going home, 1200 miles from here... look forward to seeing your change.

  18. I get what I refer to as "that wild hair to try something different" on my blog all the time. Like taming a horse. But then, I know I'll never change my ways. I just like to fiddle with things. Hope you're dealing okay with the heat over there on the other side of town.

  23. Did you make any changes?

Hmmph...I have been so absorbed in your words, I didn't notice if you had made any changes.

Maybe the layout is a little bit different?
    I don't know?
