“Do you know," Peter asked, "why swallows build in the eaves of houses? It is to listen to the stories.” ~ J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

Day 11 - Love of Unexpected Pleasures

It is snowing outside,
a surprise when I awakened,
though it had been predicted.

It is soft and slow.
And so, for this 11th day of love,
I choose unexpected pleasures.
And, in response to Graciel's post,

  1. Beautiful abstract image. Enjoy the snow!!!

  2. love the photo. i have never come across the love actually film. now i am intrigued.

  3. your imagery, is so completely you. sometimes i don't think of them as photographs. they are more like mirages, or pentimento. i look and look, waiting to see more and much of the time i do. Like this one. i see the ribbons of a kite lying limp with rain. a blue kite caught in the twisted branches of an ancient elm tree. can you see it?

  4. such a cool shot - love that peek of turquoise.

  5. I think I just found a new movie for my queue.

  6. I saw this movie way after everyone else in the world had seen it, and realized then why everyone had been talking about it. Very sweet.

And what can I say about Rumi? I got myself a book of Rumi poems this weekend...a little Valentine's gift for myself. A beautiful poem for each day of the year...it is lovely.

Actually, I got a few poetry books..went a little overboard...I must stop going into bookstores.

come. sit under the emma tree & let's talk. i have cookies . . .
