“Do you know," Peter asked, "why swallows build in the eaves of houses? It is to listen to the stories.” ~ J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

The weekend cometh

And it's a long one.

So enjoy. Relax. Lounge. Be lazy.
Don't drink & drive.
Laugh. Hug as many someones as possible.
Keep your eye on the sky.
Rub a cat's belly, scratch a dog's head.
Cook outdoors. Leave the dishes for Tuesday.
Sleep in late. Watch a baseball game.
Use sunscreen.
Read a book with no deep meaning.
Catch a fish. Let it go.
Walk in bare feet. Don't wear a watch.
Buy flowers.
Say thank you & please & I love you.
Listen to summer's silence.

  2. I did not wear sunscreen. I got a sunburn on the back of my neck.

But it was worth it! I walked for hours and took 330 photos and ate rose and cardamom ice cream.

Tomorrow I'll be out again (probably for more ice cream) and will wear sunscreen!

  4. I've pretty much tackled everything on this list...except the baseball and fishing...I'm sorry not a big fan of baseball...

But may I add sing at the top of your lungs, and dance like a wildwoman to the list? :)

    Have a great one...

  5. Oh I can leave the dishes till Tuesday....ummm, then Wednesday, then Thursday....

    I strongly dislike doing dishes.
But I do them cause I hate clutter.

Hope you had a lovely weekend!

  6. Jaime - I'm the same way. My mother says HER mother was that way. It's genetic.

  8. Robin - I was so in love with that awning. Not mine, just one that's next to our friends' place out at the lake. You may or may not be be impressed to know that I turned all those lights on digitally. :)
