This weekend Lyndi-Linda surprised me at breakfast with a rose for Mother's Day,
even though I have no children.
She had another for the lovely, lovely Katie,
saying that even though neither of us had children,
we were all Mary's "moms".
An incredibly sweet, thoughtful gesture.
This rose, however, looks as if it is in the act of full-blown seduction,
lipstick applied,
a come-hither look on its face.
A very grownup kind of rose, if you will.
No one under 18 allowed to view without parental consent.

I so love the fact that there are beautiful people out there that celebrate those of us who do not have children.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing...I feel comforted by this somehow.

Once you start looking at flowers the way bees do, you will never go back. It is a big, green, x-rated world out there!
ReplyDeleteJaime - It was pretty wonderful. I'm going to tell Lyndi what you said - I think she'll like that.
ReplyDeleteAnd Sarah - I am now fully corrupted. And loving it!
